This lesson was first published as part of Life Book 2019 and is now available as a stand alone class!

We are going to celebrate our ‘positive qualities/ achievements and impacts we’ve had on people and the world’ in a ‘paint over collage painting’ that includes a self portrait! “Paint over Collage” is one of my favourite techniques! I love the layering and transformations that occur as you work from collage to final painting.

This lesson is supported by a PDF. Approximately 2 hours of video content.

Soooo, my next class will be learning how to paint Soooo, my next class will be learning how to paint "expressive soul portraits" (omg so excited about this!) and currently editing the videos and LOVED this shot of one of the portraits mid-way. What I love about this way of working is that you can get all your raw emotions out and just make crazy messes to help facilitate all of the stuff that is going on for you and then you come out of the process refreshed and renewed and sometimes (not always) with an emotive, beautiful outcome, too! 😊 Check out all the layers and textures in this. Think at this point, it's about 30% into the painting process. It goes through a lot more transformation before it's finished.
