Goddess of Light

We will be creating a painting of a character who represents your inner strength. I’ve called mine ‘Goddess of Light’, but this character could be a wise crone, an inner superhero, or other character you associate with strength and resilience.

This character will function as a protector and strong warrior to support us.

The painting will include meaningful symbolism and your word(s) for the year should you choose to include them.

We will create a front facing portrait of a female character. I have provided a traceable file for those of you who feel a little intimidated by drawing. (I also show you how to change her hair and top colour to black in photoshop)

This lesson is supported by a PDF. Approximately 4 hours of video content.

Soooo, my next class will be learning how to paint Soooo, my next class will be learning how to paint "expressive soul portraits" (omg so excited about this!) and currently editing the videos and LOVED this shot of one of the portraits mid-way. What I love about this way of working is that you can get all your raw emotions out and just make crazy messes to help facilitate all of the stuff that is going on for you and then you come out of the process refreshed and renewed and sometimes (not always) with an emotive, beautiful outcome, too! 😊 Check out all the layers and textures in this. Think at this point, it's about 30% into the painting process. It goes through a lot more transformation before it's finished.
