Dear Creative Friend,
Depending on where you are, you will either have your darkest night or brightest day. This is a time celebrated in ancient times, for thousands of years, celebrated by our ancestors. It was a time to remember and honor the cycles of the earth. And a time to remember our own cycles.
Your cycle might be one of motherhood, of work, of caretaking another, of menopause, of letting go, of death, or you may be in a cycle of rebirth. Wherever you’re at, the solstice time is your invitation to cycle back to you.
As the holydays approach, I am inviting you to do it differently…
- To fill yourself up instead of burning out,
- To tap into your intuition instead of your to do list,
- To enjoy creating, instead of the things that you feel you should do,
- To listen to your body instead of running it ragged,
- To gather in community instead of isolating,
- To come to the new year realigned with what is most important for you.
As the earth pauses in solstice, you can use that energy to move your forward. You can do a ritual on the solstice consciously connecting with the energy of pause, you can journal and reflect on what you would like to do differently this next cycle, or you can come on a retreat with me…
Every year during the solstice time thousands of women have gathered at an at home online retreat led by facilitators and guides from around the world. We have sessions on everything from collage, watercolor, meditation, dance, yoga, breathwork, painting, and mini workshops on everything from detoxifying the body to feng shui.
For my session we will paint an expressive owl!
